Golden temple pic on the carpet being sold at Amazon is insulting: Sikh organization

New York. A prominent Sikh organization has objected to the alleged sale of golden temple photographs on carpet at e-commerce website Amazon, and has demanded to remove culturally inappropriate and offensive products. The Sikh organization said in a statement on Tuesday that they have been informed that some sellers are selling footprint, carpet and toilet seat cover with a picture of Golden Temple on Amazon.

Sim Singh of Sikh organization wrote a letter in this regard to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and Senior Vice President and General Counsel David Jepolsky.

In the letter, they said, “We have found that many vendors are putting postal products on your platform which are spiritual images of the golden temple and the culture of the East.”
