ED sent notice in Rose Valley case, will question two DC rank officers

Kolkata: Enforcement Directorate has written to Bengal Home Secretary seeking to question two Deputy Commissioner rank officers in connection with the Rose Valley Scam.
These two officers – DC Special Task Force Murlidhar Sharma and DC South East Division Kalyan Banerjee.
The notice has asked them to join investigation into the Rose Valley Scam this week itself.

Besides CBI, ED is also investigating the multi-crore-rupee Rose Valley and Saradha Chit Fund scam under the PMLA act.

However, Kolkata Police has denied reports of receiving a notice from the Enforcement Directorate. Kolkata Police maintains that they have not been summoned rather ED has sought some documents which have been provided to the agency.

ED sources say that this is the first notice to the two officers, incase if they do not appear before the agency then second notice is likely to be served.
